1. Sanctuary Tulum: one-on-one care, far from the 405
In Los Angeles, the hardest part of getting help is often being seen getting help. Sanctuary Tulum gives Angelenos complete separation. Each client has a private master suite and works one-on-one with our medical and therapeutic team in a medically supervised and licensed facility. There are no group sessions and no roommates, and you will not run into anyone from your industry.
Our program has run for about fifteen years under the Pouyan Method™, our trademarked protocol. Meet the Founder, Johnny Tabaie
Johnny Tabaie is not a doctor. He is a self-taught researcher and educator. In 2001 his brother David died by suicide while in a conventional treatment center, on a medication with a documented suicide-risk warning. The Pouyan Method™ is Johnny's proprietary, trademarked protocol. It combines medically supervised detox, nervous-system support and trauma-focused integration in a daily schedule built around one person. Depending on the client, that may include hyperbaric oxygen, IV nutrient therapy, bodywork, yoga, meditation and nutrition. Not every client receives every therapy. Brain Repair IV Drip Protocol
The Brain Repair IV Drip Protocol is a proprietary IV formula made from natural alkaloids, peptides and amino compounds. It is designed to support the brain and nervous system during detox from alcohol, opioids, stimulants and benzodiazepines, the stage where many people relapse. Malibu or the hills? How the LA market splits
Malibu programs such as Passages, Seasons and Cliffside have operated for decades and usually sit on larger ocean estates. Hollywood Hills and Beverly Hills programs, such as Ritz, Bliss, Safe Haven and Faith, are often converted private homes holding six to twelve people. A smaller home can mean more attention. It can also mean fewer specialists on-site, so ask who is physically there at night.
Whatever the address, check the program's California license with the Department of Health Care Services and confirm accreditation with The Joint Commission or CARF.
